Swag Alert! Major Swag Alert (Hawks Edition)

Hawks fans around the world, followers of HawksFanTV, and swag aficionados, the Atlanta Hawks & Trae Young, have some major drip* on the way for their fans and the masses. 

Adidas and “Ice Trae” announced last week that Young’s first signature shoe is slated to drop October 1st, 2021. Sneaker heads and basketball fans alike, got a glimpse of Young’s signature shoe during various points of the regular season and his first playoff run. 

Currently slated to drop are the “Icee” color-way, and an “Ice Trae” color-way (a tribute to Young’s most popular moniker), with more designs to come.

Although, nothing is official, Trae’s latest-playoff run gave fans across the globe a sneak peek of what he has been cooking up at Adidas.

For the most part, online critics have generally given positive feedback for the new-release Adidas/Young partnership. It has been a while since Adidas dropped a signature shoe that could compete with the monopoly of the Nike or Jordan brand. This collaboration definitely has the potential to do so. 

Because of Young’s meteoric wise to stardom, people will now take notice for what he puts out in the market. It is a well-executed release and designed to actually make for a great looking shoe, even to a non-basketball fan. The different color-ways show the creativity and thought that Adidas & Young put into this. 
As for how the shoe fits or how it plays on the court, that remains to be seen until it hits retail stores in early-October. If there is anything to go off of currently, it may be how Young preformed this last season. If his stellar play is any indication, then one may assume the shoes are comfortable, quality and good-looking!

Also dropping with his new signature shoe, Adidas and Young will be releasing a matching clothing line, which includes: jackets, tees, shorts, pullovers, etc. It looks like Trae’s on-the-court swag is translating to off-the-floor as well
