Hellooooo Hawks fans! It’s yours truly here, Mac Cummings, and I’m going to be doing a new series here for you guys that’ll look a little different from some of the things we normally bring you here at HawksFanTV. The Hawks have the #1 Voted Fan Experience in the NBA for a reason, they have incredible food and entertainment options at the Farm. This is where I come in, in this series I’m going to be reviewing all the food and things to do at the Farm from a fan’s perspective. This will give you guys an opportunity to check out some of the menu items they have and maybe even introduce you to an aspect of the arena you didn’t know before. If there’s anything you would like me to try, leave a comment!
Now, just to introduce myself a lil bit, as I said before, my name is Mac Cummings. I first moved to Atlanta in 2005 from a small town in Alabama and have been a Hawks fan since I can remember. Like most of y’all, I first fell in LOVE with this team back in ’08 when we took the power-team Celtics to 7 in the first round. I’ve never been more excited to be a Hawks fan and can’t wait to go on this journey with all of y’all. A journey that WILL end in a championship.
First up on the list of reviews is going to be the oh so popular Old Lady Gang:
- OLG Soul Sandwich:
- Ingredients: Fried chicken topped with macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and alfredo sauce all on challah bun
- Price: $14
- Value: 4 out of 5
- Overall Rating: 4.7 out of 5
- Analysis: This sandwich ain’t messing around here. This gang of old ladies figured something out when they concocted this bad boy. The way they substituted collard greens for lettuce and mac ‘n’ cheese for a slice of cheese (if you’ve never put a slice of cheese on your Chick-Fil-A sandwich you’re missing out) is truly delectable. I’m not sure if I should have started the series with this sandwich because I don’t know if it’ll be topped. I would call this a must try if you’re a fan of classic chicken sandwiches. Mac Seal of Approval!
- Hand Cut Fries:
- Ingredients: Fried taters with light salt/seasoning
- Price: $5
- Value: 4.5 out of 5
- Overall Rating: 3.5 out of 5
- Analysis: These fries definitely needed a little more seasoning for my tasting but considering the hefty serving size they give; I was still pretty satisfied. If you’re spending five dollars on a basket of fries that better be a whole handful and some too. OLG didn’t disappoint in this department.
- OLG Mac & Cheese:
- Ingredients: Macaroni and cheese, butter
- Price: $3
- Value: 3 out of 5
- Overall Rating: 3.2 out of 5
- Analysis: This mac and cheese was definitely not the worst I’ve ever had but my expectations could’ve just been a little too high since it was OLG. The price was only $3 but the serving size was way too small. I would’ve preferred just to pay a couple extra bucks and actually get a full serving of the goods. The taste was pretty good and definitely would have been better if it was fresher. Temper expectations for taste and serving size and you should still be a satisfied Hawk ordering this one.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and even with a drink it was only $26. For all of that delicious food and a drink to be under $30 is still a great price for a sports stadium or arena. They aren’t all like the Benz, even though they should be (talkin’ to you Steve Koonin!) Definitely check out Old Lady Gang on your next trip to the Farm and tell ‘em HawksFanTV sent ya!

Thanks Mac! I can’t wait to try it out. I’m looking forward to more of your reviews.
Great review. My mouth is watering just reading it.
Even though the Hawks have been struggling to get wins, MAC’s review of the OLG’s menu was a tremendous success!! While at the game, I tested MAC’s review to see if I concurred with his scoring system. And in conclusion, excellent review MAC👏👏👏👏👏.
Great Review…enjoyed Mac’s Smack. May have to catch a Hawks game…just for the food.
Went to eat….and a basketball game broke out. LOL
