The Pascal Siakam rumors to Atlanta, have not only persisted, but have been heating up as of late. Multiple sources have reported that the Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers are teams to keep an eye on for a possible-Siakam deal with Toronto.
Both teams, have the necessary contracts/assets to make a move happen. Siakam is an All-Star caliber player that would be welcomed with open arms to either franchise. The lynchpin has been whether or not Siakam would re-sign with either of these destinations or with any trade partner for that fact. His contract is set to expire this upcoming off-season and he could enter free agency in 2024 as an unrestricted commodity and a top-tier target.
Siakam has career-averages of 17.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, per game, while shooting at 48.7% from the field and 32.7% from three. He was apart of Toronto’s lone championship season, playing second fiddle, to then-Raptors forward, Kawhi Leonard. During the 2019-championship run, Siakam averaged 18.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
In regards to the Hawks, they have the contracts/players/assets to get a deal done with Toronto. They have some good young players they could include in the deal, such as: De’Andre Hunter, Kobe Bufkin, Jalen Johnson, Onyeka Okongwu, and A.J. Griffin. They also have some filler players/contracts, such as: Clint Capela and Bogdan Bogdanovic, that could be coupled with draft picks, as well.
A trio of Trae Young, Dejounte Murray and Pascal Siakam, could become one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. At the very least, a new-formidable big three in the NBA’s landscape.
Would the deal below be enough to get it done? Do you think it is too much or too little for Siakam? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
