In their final tune-up before the regular season, the Atlanta Hawks squared off against the Philadelphia 76er’s up in Philly Friday night. Atlanta ended up falling to Philadelphia, 120-106, to finish 3-2 overall in the preseason.
Starters for both teams, played decent minutes in this one. Trae Young and Dejounte Murray played 27 and 26 minutes, respectively. Young finished with a 19-point, 10-assist, double-double, while Murray chipped in 12 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds.
Surprisingly for the 76er’s, Joel Embiid played a game-high 33 minutes. He finished with 21 points and went 14-15 from the free throw line. Tyrese Maxey also played 30+ and finished with 15 points and 12 assists.
Atlanta will now get ready for their regular season opener on October 25th, against the Charlotte Hornets at the Spectrum Center. Tip-off for that one is at 7:00 p.m. eastern.
