The Atlanta Hawks eek’ d out their second straight close preseason victory, this time at the expense of the Memphis Grizzlies. The Hawks held on to a, 103-102 victory, clinching the game on a defensive play, when rookie guard, Seth Lundy, blocked Grizzlies’ forward, GG Jackson, with one second remaining to seal the win for Atlanta.
Miles Norris hit the go-ahead lay-up with about 45 seconds remaining in the game. It was his only basket of the game.
Atlanta’s starters saw limited action again, with no one playing over 18 minutes. Even with limited minutes, Trae Young was able to put up 20 points on 50% shooting from the field overall. Jalen Johnson looked good again stuffing the stat sheet in 17 minutes, with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
The Hawks next preseason action will take place in College Park, GA. The home of the their G-League affiliate, the Atlanta Skyhawks, as they host the New Orleans Pelicans.
