The Atlanta Hawks outlasted the New Orleans Pelicans at the Gateway Center in College Park, GA with a 110-105 win. Onyeka Okongwu led the way for the Hawks with 18 points on 8-10 shooting from the field. He also chipped in 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
The backcourt of Trae Young and Dejounte Murray only played 18 and 21 minutes overall, but both players were very impactful in the limited action. Young posted a positive +18 in +/-, while scoring 15 and dishing out 5 assists. Murray finished with a positive +23 +/-, scoring 12 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and finished with an impressive 4 steals.
The Hawks will wrap up the preseason with two road games. The first of which being against the Indiana Pacers Monday night and then finishing off with the Philadelphia 76ers in Philly on Friday, October 20th.
