
Dyson Daniels became the first person this century to average 3.0+ steals per game. The third-year player from Australia, had a breakout season in his first year for the Atlanta Hawks. Daniels finished with a very respectable stat-line of 14.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 3.0 steals (league leader), in 34 minutes of action.
Daniels had one of the best defensive seasons of any player in the league, and has positioned himself as a potential recipient of the NBA’s coveted Defensive Player of the Year award. Daniels finished multiple games with 8 steals, which was his season-high, and on the year, finished with a total of 229, which was the most since Allen Iverson in 2002-03.
