The Atlanta Hawks lost a heartbreaker at home to the Brooklyn Nets, 114-113. Brooklyn’s, Mikal Bridges, hit the go-ahead jumper with 5.0 seconds remaining in the fourth. Trae Young missed a potential game-winning floater as time expired. This was the second straight meeting that the Hawks and Nets came down to the wire. This time the Nets were able to prevail.

The short-handed Hawks put up a valiant effort on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers, but ultimately, fell 125-114. Atlanta was without Trae Young, who was ruled out for this game due to illness. The Hawks were able to keep this a game all night, until the Sixers pulled away in the fourth quarter. Philly used 30-point efforts from Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey to edge Atlanta. All five of Atlanta’s starters scored 15+ points, but got little contribution from the bench.
Atlanta has now last five out of their last seven, and fall to 9-12 on the season overall. The defending-champion Denver Nuggets head into town Monday the 11th, as the Hawks look to get back on track.
