The Atlanta Hawks officially wrapped up their 2022 preseason slate Friday night, with their home-opener looming against the Houston Rockets, on Wednesday, October 19th. Atlanta was apart of the NBA’s global initiative and had the privilege of representing the league, alongside the Milwaukee Bucks, in Abu Dhabi for the 2022 Abu Dhabi games. The Hawks and Bucks played a two-game slate in front of a packed house at Etihad Arena. This is a part of the globe that does not get much NBA access, so for two preseason games, they definitely had a regular season feel. From a Hawks perspective, Trae Young & Dejounte Murray, put on a show for the Middle-Eastern state. It is safe to say the Hawks may have gained some new followers after their trip. The Hawks finished out their preseason schedule at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New Orleans Pelicans.
